                     The
                    Hartford
Business Journal, Connecticut's leading weekly business
newspaper, presented Andrew Lindh, owner of NETPLEX, LLC,
with its "40 Under Forty" award in September 2004.
The award recognized 40 Greater Hartford business leaders
under 40 years old who have succeeded in business and given
                    back to the community.

NETPLEX is proud to be actively involved in assisting
public and private educational facilities in obtaining Internet
connectivty. We are also pleased that we are able to give something
back to the Internet community by hosting several well known open
                source and free
                software sites.
For starters, we have donated a to
                the Hartford
Public Library, where the public is free to enter and use
the Internet at any time. We offer a free flat-rate dialup account
to any school that requests one, and give educational institutions
significant discounts on dedicated frame relay connections.
From time to time, we like to help out non-profit
organizations that are themselves trying to do commendable work
for the community. Among them are:

                 Operation
Fuel - an agency that provides energy assistance to CT residents
                NEAM
                  - the New England Air Museum
                NBMAA
                  - the New Britain Museum of American Art
                The
Village - The Village for Children and
                  Families
                The
                  Farmington Avenue Alliance

And finally, we come to the Open
Source community. This is the grassroots
Internet movement that is rising into the main-stream computing
industry, promoting free alternatives to proprietary software,
                such as the Linux
                operating system, and the GIMP
photoshop-like graphics package. Since we fully support open Internet
standards and free software, we are always looking for ways to
help with these types of projects. Currently, we're involved in
                hosting POV-Ray,
the free Persistence of Vision RayTracer.

It is a very rewarding experience for us to be
able to give back to these communites while being a part of them
ourselves, and we will continue to contribute what we can to them.
